I can't find what the gap is supposed to be on my spark plugs. I was told they are platinum plugs, is that right? It is a manual 4 cyl. Thanx

get the Bosch Platinum +4....the gap is pre-set. Just pop 'em in. They work best for me.

Gag = 0.050 inch
Plug = AZFS22PP
There has been a lot of discusion on WHAT brand of plug to use. Use the SEARCH funtion and look for long threads on the subject. So brand work , some don't. I stick to Ford. Oh ya, '97 plugs don't work in a '95.

Go ahead and pop for the Motorcraft. They are about $10.00 each at the Ford Dealership, but they work.

What would happen is they'll fail much sooner than other plugs unless they are DOUBLE PLATINUM. Our ignition systems fire backwards on half the cylinders or something like that, that's why they're needed. Gap should be .053 or anything in that area.
