I am adding a Blaunkupt CD player.. it is 200Watt. 4x 50 for peak power, 22 watts RMS. can be seen @ http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1251567864 A buddy is putting in a Subwoofer, and Amp, but I need to get 4 speakers for the doors. I don't want to spend a whole lot, but I want something decent to start with, and will fit my car and not blow out from the 200 Watts. I am looking to spend $100 or less, if possible. Can someone tell me what size in inches taht I need for my car, and what a good model is for my price range. Thanks, Justin

6x8 is the stock speaker size. 6x9's can fit depending on models. Just search through Crutchfield or on eBay for a brand your familiar with. Any 6x8 should work. You can also use the search function on these forums for past threads, theres a new one about every week!! This is the search... http://contour.org/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=search&search_forum=5

$100 a pair or $100 for 4 speakers?
See next post for $100/pair recommendation - cannot be beat.
$100 for 4 locations I'll have to research, or just skip the rears and get a pair of the Focals for front.

I think I know where Aaron is going with this....If it is 100.00 per pair, get the focal 5.25" components at www.zalytron.com for 99.00 a pair.

I hate Vega's...too harsh. I used to work at BB and know how much they mark those POS's up too.

Go with pioneer 6x8, they are in expensive and have a good sound and good quality.
If they weren't good they wouldn't be factory installed in $20,000,000 airplanes. BOMBARDIER uses PIONEER speakers as the "no charge option" in their Challengers and Lear Jets.

BOMBARDIER uses PIONEER speakers as the "no charge option" in their Challengers and Lear Jets. Means squat. Sony makes some of the best audio/video components, but they also make some of the worst. Bose is used is a lot of luxury vehicles, but that doesn't mean everything they make is good. I'd rather have one set of great components in the front and no rears than 4 Pioneers. The Pioneer 6x8's are decent speakers and can be cheap. But I bet even the most inexperienced listener can tell a difference between them and some good components.

I just put in Pioneer TS-A6855 into my 99 SVT. They were ~65/pair from Best Buy. They are made for Ford/Mazda/Nissan and they were incredibly easy to put in. They sound really good with the stock head unit and they supposedly can handle 150w.

I've had 4 Pioneer 6855's since sometime last year, and I still enjoy them. I'm running them off a Pioneer DEH-P3100 head unit, and the entire setup sounds much better than the stock cassette player ever did.
