The other brand (Perfect Circle from Autozone) is only 23 bucks while MOOGs sell for 41 around here. Can one really be that much better? Especially considering that I've gone through at least two sets of MOOGs in the last 2 years alone.

Try OEM. How long did they last?

You mean like from Ford? I haven't even bothered with them since I figured they'd be the most expensive. My first set probably went around 60K then 80K and now I'm at 94K. I'm thinking that if the part is gonna fail this much the cheaper the better.

Advance Auto sells TRW tie rod ends--I think TRW is the OEM for Ford.

I don't really know what the symptoms are for this, but while doing my brakes I always notice that the tie rod end has burst. I don't think there are any Advance Autoparst stores around Boston

Well I guess there are Advance stores around here, just not really near me. I may try them though if they really are the OEM for Ford. Anyone know for sure?

I can tell you first hand the Moog suspension parts are first rate. I have used them on several cars of my own and countless cars when I worked as a mechanic. It's better than OEM in all cases I've seen. As far as the other brands, well I don't know. I haven't used anything but Moog and PST.

Well, inner and outer for left and right are around $90 for the whole set from BAT, probably less than that from signature LM. BAT's are OEM-Europe. My car is over 60k and 8 years old and all of the suspension boots look good. The fact that your OEM units lasted 60k, and that your replacements lasted 20 and then 14k, respectively, tells me that OEM is the way to go.

Get them from BAT (www.batinc.net) They're $18.50 for each side. That's where I'll be getting mine shortly (busted my driver's side).
