So I guess I can tell tell all.
For over a month now I've been planning and I've made my decision. I'm selling my SVT to my brother. His car is currently for sale and I'm blown away at the ammount of intrest its attracting. Yesterday was the first day for the add and he had 9 calls and 1 person look at it and 3 more comming this weekend. Once his car sells he's giving me a down payment and then as soon as he gets the loan I'll pay off my loan and sign ownersip to him.
Since I'm keeping it in the family I won't necessarily considder myself a troll. I'm going to try to encourage him to go to some of the meets with me.
The reasoning is that his car is at the point where its getting old and beat and he needs something better and newer, and I was looking to have about $300 or so more in my pocket every month. Becasue after all my parents now own a place on a lake in New Hampshire and I need to buy a boat eventually.
Plus, in my line of work I recently took on, my monthly income is not consistent and during the winter it can be difficult to make ends meet. I have 2 years left to pay on my car and just over 1 year left to pay on my truck. I figure for the rest of the summer and fall I'll send the money I would have paid to my car to truck to get it paid down quickly. Then I'll only have one payment over the winter and the truck will be paid off by next summer or fall. Then I'll be payment free.

Wow, Jay! I'm shocked! At least it's staying in the family, though!

hey Jay, you do what you gotta do. I'm sure it'll make your brother really happy to own it. everyone knows that getting rid of your car doesn't mean you're done with CEG. This is your second time getting rid of an SVT, so you know that by now.

He can do mods, but they have to be tasteful.

I love my car and I enjoy driving it everytime I do drive it. But I eventually want to buy myself a boat to use at home with my friends and for at the lake in New Hampshire. I couldn't afford to buy one outright so I'd have to finance it and with 2 car loans already I'd need just short of a miracle to be approved for a 3rd.
When I told my brother that I'd sell him the car his face just lit up. He tells me every day how bad he wants to sell his car. That is going great, he had 6 more calls today and 3 people came to look at it so I'm sure it will sell soon.
I figure that keeping the SVT in the family will work out good for me becasue I'll be able to get that payment off my back, but the car will still be around. I'm sure that if there's a meet I might be able to talk my brother into using my truck and I take the car, or he could come along.

if it is still in the family it would be easy to buy back later if your brother wants a new car again and you want your car back
