My contour idles fine when I first startto drive. If I drive all day or get on it, it begins to idle ruff. Sometimes it will stall if im at a complete stop. any explination?

Well if you're starting to drive it's not idling any longer. Check Idle Air Control sensor, clean MAF, Throttle Position sensor or old wires and plugs. Factory plug wires in Tours suck.

Didnt mean drive. I meant on initial start up. Plugs and wires are not factory. Replaced them as soon as i got the car. Im going to clean the censors, hopefully thats the case. Thanx for the info.

that's really weird...mine's doing the same thing. we just changed the spark plugs and wires and sprayed GM top end engine cleaner thru it. a couple weeks after that and it will stall when i'm at a complete stop, usually when i'm in gear w/ my foot on clutch and brake. it'll start right up again...so i guess i'll have to check my sensors too. good luck w/ yours! btw....my car has almost 92k on it

Thats exactly the problem w/mine. I couldnt get to it yesterday. It was raining all day. I dont have a garage to work in. Mine has 75k. Good luck with yours too.
