Even if they had EVERYTHING to do with Reagans success, they would not have a reason to expect an invitation. The State Funeral is a benefit of service as President, like Secret Service protection, or health insurance - all at taxpayer expense. The event is totally in the hands of the family, and rightfully so. The pomp & ceremony are a traditional courtesy to the supporters of the Former Statesman, but the funeral is totally a private, family & freinds type event, like anybody else.
For Former President Clinton or ANYBODY to EXPECT an invitation to speak, or even attend, is a HUGE display of how crass they really are. If it is true that the Former President was upset over this, then all I can say is, stupid hillbilly bumpkin. He is the one seeking the spotlight and turning it into a political opportunity, nobody else.
I have given the benefit of a doubt when it comes to Former President Clinton on more than one occasion (despite the occasional slip), simply because at least one of his efforts benefitted my children, and children in general, in a very real and profound way. I have held my tounge and bitten my lip in an effort to at least refrain from being critical, but this tears it. If true, I simply will no longer stand at the sidelines when it comes to this guy.
Un-by-God-believable!!!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Bill Clinton is one of the luckiest used car salesmen i have ever seen.
"What did you think about that Dorothy girl?"
"The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. That doesn't make me some sort of fag does it?
"Nah baby, your money."

LOL! I can just see Clinton uttering that line from True Lies--"she's got an azz like a ten year old boy!"

Clinton had about as much to do with the Tech Boom as Reagan did with the Fall of the Iron Curtain. And you can take that however you want.

Who cares whether Clinton was a good president or not. It has no bearing on the fact that Nancy didn't want him to speak. A wife certainly has the right to determine who speaks at her own husband's funeral, especially when Reagan himself was not exactly a Clinton fan. Clinton could be the best guy on earth and it still wouldn't be some political conspiracy to not let him speak at the funeral. Geez... who is really making it political...

What has Bush REALLY done? Besides throw a tax cut to the wealthy. Bring the defcit to uncrottalable levels. Oh ya almost forgot! Bring us into a conflict were going to be in for MANY MANY years. You can bi*ch and moan about Clinton, he did alot of good when he was in office. I actually voted for GW, I won't be making that mistake twice. So you Bush lovers can flame this all you want, I understand Bush could kill a child on LIVE TV and you would make up some reason why it needed to be done. You need to spend a little less time watching FOX News.
