What do you need? How far/where do you drive? Room requirements for people and cargo? What requirements do you foresee in the next few years?

You have so many darts all over the board here that I think we need to look at the purposes the car needs to serve to close the list some.

Not really. In my original post I mentioned my '90 Accord, which is my beater, and will be once I buy a new car. I won't be commuting in this car, to work, or any real long distances (unless for a car show). It'll be mainly a summer/spring car, which will most likely be garaged for most of its life. No room/cargo requirements, I'll leave that to my Accord.

I have to agree here. I've seen several used (under 20k miles) STis on the ImprezaWRXSTi.com forums for 25k-30k. I'd have to go with that.

But then again, I'm biased.

I'm sorry but I just can't stand the new STI's... (I'm speaking for myself here) they are so ugly, the front headlights that they changed are ugly, the huge wing in the back is ugly, the car is ugly overall comparing to the '02-'03 WRX.

Well, you can always remove the wing and put Morettes in....

Are you referring to the '00 25.RS, the '02-'03 WRX, or the European '00 WRX, out of curiosity?

I'm reffering to something like this...

So much better looking than the riced out stock STi.

I didn't realize you would be keeping the Accord. In that case, go for a total toy.

MazdaSpeed Miata would be my pick over the S2000.
Lightning is another good choice if you want a truck.
RX-8 is another great one.

That covers the three "toy" genres to me.

I think Miata would not be an option considering that he is 6'3"...

Yeah that probably wouldn't work out too well.

If he can't fit in a Miata, he won't fit in a S2000.
