IMO used Vettes come in two flavors - garage queens or beat to within an inch of their life.

personally for me in that range I would be going out to find a 2000 or 2001 Audi S8 best of all worlds -

size and performance and luxury

right now you can find 2000s in the 26-28 range, in 10 months I would expect to see 2001s in that range also.

good luck

Ehhhh a used Corvette, I wouldn't touch it.

Yeah, one must be selective in your used vette shipping (not that I've ever shopped for Vettes personally) otherwise you'll might end up with something that won't be worth the trouble. Either they have been beaten to death or barely driven, so just look in the right places and you'll find one in pristine condition.

Damn... I wish I could buy cars in that price range... when will I finally graduate??! I'd go with an S2000 if I were you, especially now when you can get 'em for like 20K.

Yeah, the S2000 was the 1st car I put on the list. I've always loved those. 2.0L 4-banger puttin' out 240hp, weighs bout 2700 I believe. My only concern with it is fitting in it. I drove one before, but the top was down. I'm 6'3", fit in fine everywhere, except, I wasn't able to see if I fit in height-wise. It'd suck to not be able to get a car for that reason.

I was looking for a car to replace my '99 Mystique and just bought a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EX-V6 6MT With/Nav. This car is fast. Leather, Navigation, 240 horses, 17" rims w/low profile tires, dual exhaust, 0-60 in 5.9s. and I got it all for 26K. Its a sick car the interior is sweet. I was looking at the Acura CL and was going to waste money buying a used one. I am completely satisfied especially with the 6-speed trans.
