What is a good amp to buy and what about a sub. I was thinking that if i got a sub it would be a JL W3 but not sure. Can anyone give me some ideas of other good subs or amps.

Determine how much you want to spend on an amp, because that is where the most money will go towards. Then chose an appropriate sub.

I have always used Rockford. I have a single 12" HE matched with a 500s amp in the trunk and it sounds great. Make sure when you get your stuff whatever it is, you also get a capacitor to help the sound.

What kind of head unit do you have right now, how many pre-outs, and how many volts on the pre-outs.

Hey. I would never buy anything from best buy. I would buy a phoenix gold amp on ebay-look for octane or xs series, and maybe two kicker comps. Eithor twelves or fifteens. They are really goo ddurable subs-pretty cheap to. Oh yeah. If you were to buy a rockford amp id save the money and just buy a lightning audio--made in same factory- but i wouldnt go that route. Also stryke AV's are good subs- but kinda pricy. I would do everything on ebay...except make your own box out of 3/4 inch mdf. glue it and screw it.
