Hey How can you improve on this???? Any suggestions would be great Here we go! Head unit is the Pioneer 8000, I went with this unit because of the 5Volt RCA pre outs now thats 1volt higher then most radios. the front and back speakers are Polk Audio 5.25 Componet sets powered by a Rockford 360w 4channel, In the rear deck are Cerwin Vega 6X8 the radio is powering them :-P ( The use to be in the doors. In the Trunk are 2 Solo Barack Kickers 12" Powered by a Rockford 800w The car has a 15 farad Cap keeping all the power I need and 0 gague wire from the battery to the cap and it has 2 4gague outs on the cap to a distribution block where it splits the two 4 gague wires into a bunch of 8's The Rca cables are Rockford White Wolfs The car is completely covered In Dynomate extreme Two layers thick everywhere Bottom top sides of trunk, and every door. I havent been to a car audio SPL yet, but I live in Michigan and well we suck here!!!!!! I have 2 old 99 model Kicker VR's if anyones interested.

WRECKA,

There are a few HU that have higher than 4v. Sony's new high end xplod HUs even have 5.5. Someone has a 6v if I remember correctly.

Sounds like you have a pretty good system to start with.

As for improvement. Everything you have is very good equipment and changing it will probably have neglible results in SQ. Even so, I would probably replace the SoloBarics with Lambda Premium Line Subs if you are looking for SQ. If you are going for SPL/SQ then look at Eclipse Titaniums or Lambda TD series (pre-orders are being taken at 249.00 ea.) If you are going strictly SPL, maybe consider DD, Kove, Eclipse Ti, etc.

If you want to get the same quality sub if not a little better, check out the Shiva at www.adireaudio.com. You'll be able to sell the solobarics buy 2 Shivas and pocket 200.00 or so to put towards new door and rear speakers. As for the rear. Take the components out of the rear door and replace the CV in the rear deck with a pair of Jordan JX62s running a freq range of 300-4000 hz.

For the front speakers, consider making a set of components with a custom crossover or if you would like to purchase a complete system, check out the MB Quart Q series components, Diamond Hex, Focal Utopia, or Morel (best tweeters IMO) components, or Dynaudio.

Eclipse Audio Decks have 8 volt preouts. I heard that some of the newer ones have higher preamp voltages, not sure about that though, could be bs.
