Have you noticed a lag in performance? Is your acceleration bad or does it feel slugish? If yes, then, check the MAF. Clean it with some Berryman's Chemtool. Be sparing with the Chemtool. You can use electronics cleaner, but make sure that you don't leave a film. This is what you are trying to remove....
Breather mod, cool, if you can't get a tube to the CAI. I would do the breather mod anyway, simply to reduce the light oil blowback into the CAI. Mine was not bad but it was a concern for me so I did the breather mod and I am under the impression that that was a good move.
You want to make sure your clamps are tight BUT you also want to make sure that you are NOT crushing any of your pipes. The clamps will loosen up in a fresh install because of the fact that all the parts are getting worked in. So don't be alarmed if you find that you are constantly tightening the clamps.
Check vacuum lines as well. Just basically, retrace your steps thru your install and look for kinks.

My dads mechanic is coming today to change my back brakes. What do i ask him to check/clean? What is a good product for the MAF? Can i find it in the car section at wal mart? or do i have to go to discount auto parts? Im also going to get the autolite double platinum spark plugs for him to install. And do you think i should change the o2 sensor also? BTW, i filled my tank on wednesday with $25 exact and i had 189.4 miles on the tank when i refilled it. Its getting worse. The gas kept going up and down i had to drop my friend n her friends off to go get gas because i didnt know how much i had Thank you every1 for your help, Robert

How much it cost for you to fill up your tank and how many miles you put on it are irrelavent. How many miles per gallon are you getting? To figure this out fill up your tank and reset your trip meter. When you start running low on gas, fill up again, note the trip meter reading, and then reset the trip meter. Be sure to drive the way you always do otherwise the number may be more than it should be. Now it is time to do the math.
Miles = this is the number read from your trip meter Gallons = this is the amount of gas in gallons it took to fill up the tank.
MPG=Miles/Gallons
For city driving I get between 23 and 24 MPG with a very heavy foot and a dirty MAF. Full throttle from every single read light!

BTW, i went to Discount Auto Parts and bought new Autolite Double Platinum Spark Plugs. EVERYONE THAT HAS PUT THESE SPARK PLUGS ON, give me your results please because i havent installed them yet. What millimeter spark plug wires should i get 4 my zetec? Or should i just get the ford racing because at discount they have all kinds of mm but i didnt find 9 mm i found 8.3 and some other sizes. Whats the difference? Thanks

9MM's are good for the zetec adn durtec engiens alike.
at WOT from every light i get about 300 MPT, +/-10 miles. but i have a 5 speed too so its more fun. frequent trips to 45 in second are not unusual in my car.
i imagine that i could pull about 420 or so highway. maybe more. i clean my MAF every other oil change and i clean my TB every oil change so i think im in pretty good shape. BTW, for drilling holes int he stock airbox, where should i drill? (not to hijack thread or anything)

Breather mod is bad for gas mileage, even though it may give a slight increase in performance by leaning out the mixture. The PCV takes air from the incoming metered air tube, through the crankcase, then past an oil separator and PCV valve, then into the intake. Eliminating that tube from the intake and replacing it with a breather filter causes unmetered air to be sucked through the breather, through the crankcase, and into the intake. The ECU can "see" this unmetered air by reading the upstream O2, assumes an air leak or modification has happened, then richens the mixture to compensate, hence your lost mileage.
If you want to eliminate the gunk buildup from oil in the intake, do not replace the PCV draw tube with an old school style, pre-PCV hotrod breather. Instead, place a catch can inline with the PCV tube between the crankcase and the intake. Place an oil return drain in the bottom of the catch can, PCV tube on one side near the top, the intake tube on the other side near the top, but slightly offset from the PCV side... Anyone that needs a visual, look up DemonSVT's catch can he made for his Duratec.
