What OS are you using? If you still have the camera's memory card that the picture came from (provided it was taken wtih a digital camera), you may be able to retrieve the picture from that. There is a program called RescuePRO that you can use to hopefully recover the picture if you haven't written to the card too much since then. I have used it on a USB flash drive before, and it works pretty well. They also have a product called PHOTORECOVERY that is specifically for digital photography media. I have not used that software myself. They have a free download that will tell you the names of the files it finds on the media, but you can't view or save them without buying the full version.
