Whats wrong with my tempgague? The sensor is replaced but it didn't help. When the car starts to warm up it usualy works ok. But then it suddenly goes to the AL part of NORMAL, stays there no matter how i drive. Then it suddenly dropps to the white zone.

are you sure you replaced the correct sensor ? there's two close next to each other. you need to replace the one facing DOWN, the one facing UP is for the PCM.

Which sensor did you replace? The Coolant temp sensor is located in the Top of the Thermostat housing it monitors the coolant temp. This sensor controls the cooling fans and the like. The temp sending unit is located in the same general area but well below the thermostat housing, this one controls the dash temp indicator.

Same here. My gauge has never went past the halfway mark. Its is pretty common for the gauge to show a lot hotter on Zetecs, though.

well, mine is always past the halfway mark, but never acted crazy, its always pretty much stayed in one spot....between a-l on the gauge until recently. i got my IAC valve and TStat replaced and nopw it sits right about in the middle unless i drive er hard!

Thanx for all the advise and information. I didn't change it myself, so i'm not sure which one was replaced, maybe both. Someone told i must change the gague or maybe even all the gagues which seems crazy.
