I just installed the SHO cold-air intake and the engine shut off once when I made a hard left. Other than that the car seems to be running a bit stronger and the exhaust note is louder. Next I am going to mod the y-pipe.

Hey I wanted to thank everybody on there input for my little problem. I seem to have gotten it fixed by doing the throtle hand procedure.

My next question is how do you clean these damn air filters? I saw there was a couple of people that have had the SHO Shop intake on theres. Should I just replace it with a K&N or can I use there oil and charge kit on the no name one I have.

Did you have any problems with the engine shutting off after installing the SHO intake?

the intake that came with the sho shop unit is a K&N filter.

an intake would not have any of the side affects that you mention unless you bumped something else loose when istalling it. its just a new airfilter.

check for loose connections around the filter, maybe one got bumped loose.

Thanks. I figured the same after reading some relevant threads in troubleshooting but it's good to hear this from someone else. I will try this when I get home.

Finally got this fixed. Turned out to be the battery. It died on me and since I replaced it no more problems like this.

Don't know if you are trying to be sarcastic but I was just posting in case someone else has a similar problem they can know to check out their battery.
