Tansmission is broken,
63,845 miles on the body, engine..
Everything works, except the tranny..

Im leaving for bootcamp soon. Should I part out my contour and buy another?

like 1000 for the motor + all the belts pump etc etc.
Then piece out the interior, etc, and finally deliver the car to the scrap-yard?

Or should I try to sell it? Or hang on to it and fix it, or trade it in on another contour. (with a manual)

You arent going to get $1000 for the engine, reman. ones go for $650 I think someone said before.

Transmission Exchange Co. had heavy duty cd4e trannies for under $1000. Maybe you should call them?

Otherwise, donate it to a tranny trade school or sup'm and get a tax write off.

hmm.. well.. I love the car.. so i dont know what im going to do.. can someone provide a link for reman or used transmissions?

These are great cars, I LOVE mine. Freakin' high maintenance tho. In spite of that, I may pick one up for my youngest daughter when she starts driving in the fall.
