All I can say is, the sub really hits hard, low and clean. I'm pushing 500 on that puppy (Orion xtr 500), using SubZone box (1.8). I highly recommend this sub well worth the money ($115).

That's nothing! I got a sub at Wal-Mart for $10! It only needs 20W and man, if you stick it right next to your ear, it can get pretty loud! Until it pops anyways...

I'm glad your happy with it! I've been pushing those things for 9 months on this board. All my hard work finally paid off!
Happy listening!
BTW, What is your opinion of the sub compared to others you have heard? Do you agree that it would be difficult to touch for the money or even 2x the money?

All that work for one person to bite. Maybe in 5 more years it will be a epidemic with like 10 owners. But, I am interested in how Toobs thinks it compares to comercial stuff.

I'm a big fan of sealed box sub and it takes a really good sub to hit the 20s and still sound good and takes a lot of power. I've had MTX, Cerwin Vega, Lanzar before and there's no way dual 10s or probably dual 12s could match the sound output that I'm getting from a sinlge shiva. I guess my amp play some role in making that happen, Orion still make good amps and most pf the time they push more what they are rated for. It's really hard to compete bang for the buck on this one. I was actually in the process of getting 2 JLW3 ($190 each), now I'm glad i did not and lastly SubZone makes well built boxes they use the real stuff (MDF 3/4) can't beat the price for the quality of the box. Thanks again guys.
