anybody know how to fix this safing sensor problem?

this one arose afteri changed a seized alternator after the 'tour had been sitting for 2 months
thanks for any info

24=Safing Sensor Output Feed/Return Circuit Open

Try looking for a loose/disconnected wire someplace, you have a short, could be a short to ground.

Actually, he has an open circuit, which is the exact opposite of a short circuit.

Safing sensor output? There is a sensor either in the seatbelt latch or the seatbelt assembly in both front seats that tell the restraint control module if the seatbelt pretensioner has been activated. Either you had an accident and the pretensioner was tripped (least likely) or the wiring connection is poor (most likely). I believe this is what an airbag flashing 24 should be at least according to the last Ford service manual I looked at. Hope this helps, I will double check at work tomorrow.

that sounds like it could be the problem as my seat belt sensor/light stopped working at the same time. i will have to get under there and look for some bad wires
