The white plastic trim piece that you fix the boot to that in turn affixes (looks like it was glued at the factory) to the underside of the console is thrashed. Broke in in about 4 pieces. I have tried gluing it a couple of times, I tried shaping a wire coat hanger to the shape of the plastic piece .... no dice.

Ideas ?

i gota broken boot also, have no idea how to fix it, or even replace it

I super glued the plastic thing back together, then used some small black zip ties (5 total) to secure the boot. Involved drilling small holes into the console. The ties are noticable if you're looking for them, but it beats the look of that old torn fleather boot.
