Can someone direct me to a good source for a caliper rebuild kit? 1998 E0 front calipers. I have searched my normal online stores and no one is listing one? I am in the middle of a complete brake job and may have damaged one of the piston seals.
Thanks

He ran a group buy on rotors, pads and SS lines. Check it out, if you're interested in overhauling all your stoppers, that is.

The rebuild "kit" is really just 2 new seals per caliper- dust & piston seals. The only other thing you would need is Dot 3 brake fluid (you should already have this if you're disassembling the caliper) to lube the piston before reinserting it in the bore- Oh, and brake cleaner and towels.

Also remember to stuff a towel where the outer pad would be so that you don't accidentally damage/ding the piston when you slide it out.

Pat got me my set of front seals for like $5. But then, I don't have to pay shipping.

Any parts jobber like NAPA or Advance Auto should have them. Sorry, no part number, though.

Thanks. I was able to get them at Murray's Discount Auto Stores for $9.43 each. I checked Autozone and Advance Auto Parts (listed wrong number), and the dealer (wanted $30 each). They are on order, so I haven't finished it yet, but thanks for the help.

i got a complete EO rebuild kit from bill jenkins a few years ago....all new seals, pistons, bolts....basically everything except the calipers/brackets. i think it cost me about $80....my 95 stops excellent, but i think i need to have the rotors turned, since they have about 25K on them, with no maint. done to them what-so-ever. heck, i only paid $25 for the EO calipers and brackets, so i wasn't really complaining on dropping the $80 for the rebuild kit. and i added SS lines to all 4 corners....i got a nice stopping machine now.
