i was thinking about porting my rear deck after i dynamat the inside of the trunk (which should happen in less then a week)... i bought a temporary box for my shocker that is sealed until my ported box is ready (which is taking forever) but none the less want to port the trunk because the rear deck is vibrating and making noise and its annoying as hell + it will probably increase spl numbers slightly.. how would start to calculate port area that i need freq tuning ect ect.... or can i just slap a port in the back and hope for the best?!?!

any ideas would help -=D

im pretty sure if i port it with the sealed box id have to get re-calculate the port area and ect when i get the ported box but i was just wondering for now

prepared to be shockered

If you change the box volume to compinsate, you can run the port on the outside of the box and run thet through the deck. Provided the recomended port length is long enough.
