Ball joints=pretty easy. Strut "bearings" I THINK you can do that without removing the strut assembly, just work under the hood, right? If so, then that is very very easy. Mine don't seem worn at all, so I'm not changing mine, but it can be different for everyone, but I do have a busted ball joint on a tie rod end....

I would rather do the strut bearings than replace the stock riveted ball joints. If you do strut bearings you still have to remove the strut/spring from car and disassemble unit to change the bearing.

There are two reasons I would change strut bearings.

When they fail. Failure is very uncommon on Contiques.

When changing the struts on a high milage car.

I had a lift, trans jack, air tools (drill, impact, ratchet and chisel) so it wasn't bad.

The drill and the chisel made the ball joints easy. Strut mount easy as well.

Wouldnot want to try this with out the tools though.

The rivets on my ball joints had centering divets in the rivet making it easy to drill out. Used three sises of bits (small to larger) and some spray lube while drilling.
