ok...i tryed the search, but found nothing. when i sit at a red light, the car makes a grinding type of noise. it is not loud, but it's not quiet. you can feel it in the brake pedal too. it shakes at a very high rate, so it just feels like a "personal massager" or what would be one. once i gas it and get going, the noise leaves though.

don't know if this has anything to do with it, but if the car is hot from sitting in the sun, when i start it, the RPM level is at a normal rate for starting, but when i shift into drive, the car feels like it is going to die. once last week it actually died on me. since then i've been letting it run for some time before i get going. any link in the problems? thanks

Which engine? Miles?

The grinding is likely to be coming from the serpentine belt or one of the accessories.

The low RPM and vibrations can be caused by vacuum leaks, bad plugs and/or wires, bad engine mounts, or a combination.
