Is there supposed to be a light underneath the PRND21 on the side of the ATX? If so, mine is dead and it would be great if somebody could tell me if it's hard to change and some tips on how to do it.
Oh and it's a 98 2,0 GL

Now that's an answer...... 
To change the bulb
With a screwdriver, pry the bezel around gear shift you can see the seems.
Next disconnect light housing from the underside of bezel.
Remove the transmission range indicator miniature bulb (13466) from indicator bulb socket and replace it.
Put it back together the way you took it apart.
Easy change.

I don't need a light as when I move the shift lever I can tell what gear I'm in.......

Thanks, i didn't think it would be that easy. I thought you had to take the entire center console apart to reach it.I will try changing it today

Ok, now i've changed it, it was very easy indeed. The only thing i wonder is how many Wats it should be? I put a 3W in it and it's very bright, should it only be a 1,5W or what?
