Not mad at all. Some people prefer to have fancy graphics. I know the feeling, when people look at that boring black cone, they underestimate it's abilities. Maybe I'll paint mine.

Getting back to the original question, I have two Sony amps (older blue models) I bought them used about a year ago and they work fine for my tastes. I have heard that the ES amps take up alot of space so you might want to make sure they will fit.
take a ride, take a shot now

I recently purchased and installed the Sony XM-604EQX amp. This amp replaced a burned-out Rockford Fosgate Punch 200a4 (which I will probably get repaired at a later date). So far no complaints; I'm still adjusting the gains and the equilization (it's not a problem; I've been lazy). I'll probably have to do some additional tweaking once I get my Infinity Kappa 6x9s installed. If I have any problems, I'll be sure to post them so that all of you "haters" can say "I told you so."

I would nevr buy a sony amp, my friend got the 800 watt one and it never even worked! Opened the box, and nothing happened. He traded it for a Kenwood and it worked like a charm.

Personally I think sony amps are overpriced, oversized and under powered. I'd buy a pioneer or rockford amp over a sony amp any day.
