Has anyone used silver stars successfully in a contour or a mystique? I have a '95 mystique and I was wondering if any of you have used silver stars. Thanks.

if you are talking about the low beam and high beam head lights, yes.

If you are talking about the new fog/driving lights, many have burned out in very short time (couple of days, and some, many months).

If you do a search for the fog/driving lights you will find a few threads about them.

Well since you asked....

I bought them all...high beams, low beams and fogs.

High Beams: Great! No complaints.

Low Beams: Good now. However when I first got them one was more blue than the other. Now I called sylvania and they informed me taht these bulbs are not blue but silver. Well, I'm sorry my eyes see blue and that coating on the bulb sure looks blue to me. In anycase, I sent those back to them so they could send me bulbs that were the same color light.

Fogs: Oh boy. One of them lasted 2 whole days. The other about 4 months. Both were sent back after the second went out, got the replacements about 3 weeks ago. Uh oh, ones out already...so i say F those F'ing F lights.... I don't need them anyways.

Like so many people have said, you should put the 9005's(high-beams) in the low beam sockets. I'm not sure if it's different with pre-98s but it only requires filing off a couple tabs and is a HUGE bang for the buck.

My high and low beam silverstars have worked flawless for over a year now.

I've used Nokya for fog bulbs (same color as silverstars) and they've lasted quite a while, at least as long as stock bulbs.
