I have a silver contour se.. I am about to purchase svt ground effects for my car.. the ones i am getting are factory tropical green.. On the repaint ..silver.. will the paint hold up? and has anyone did something like this?

It all depends. If the proper prep is done (strip, primer, etc.) and the paint is of good quality (not Krylon) and the person doing the work is skilled and has the proper equipment, then you'll have a paint job as good as factory if not better. Taking any shortcuts will reduce the aesthetic quality of the repaint and the amount of time it will last.
