ok now i know this has been discussed too many times before, and i have searched for it all (i think) but i need some specific help. I have a 95 contour gl zetec with the no tach cluster and want to put in a 95 V6 cluster with tach because i cant find one from a 4cyl. I've read that this is possible, just that the tach will not read correctly. oh and yes i have the damn electronic speedo. now i installed everything but the tach doesnt even move. everything else works fine; gas, temps, blinkers, high beams and all the indicators. How can i fix this? something about switching the resistors? or do i have to run a tach wire? any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a cluster that goes from 0 - 150, not an SVT cluster but it has a tach and all. There is no speed limiter on this cluster and it works fine on my '99 LX. If you are interested I'd gladly sell you one because mine are from electronic speedos.

You need to get one from a 95 Zetec.

well i guess i defied the whole same engine thing...i ran a tach wire from the computer through the harness on pin 8 and it works fine, although a little low on rpm's...but its close! im guessing a zetec one would read more accurately? still looks way better than just a speedo...and the blinkers are not so rental car like. and it says i have a V6... thanks for your input though.
