Is there an easy entry point for putting a second DIN unit in a '98 Mystique w/ auto.

I am thinking about a Blaupunkt IDC-A09. Blau seems to think the Mystique and Contour have two DIN openings.

The pre-98's have a double-din opening. For you to change a 98+ to double-din would be extensive work and a whole new dash. Find a different deck or cut the bottom out of your dash and put it in. I don't think you want to do that, though.

What are you talking about. I bought a center console from a 97 mtx contour. Got it painted and now I am wondering which graphic EQ I am going to get. It was very easy to swap consoles..

Go to a junkward and find a wrecked pre-98 contique. Take the center console out. Everything in the car is attached by screws so it'e easy to remove. By doing this mod, you lose the cup holders, but they suck anyways. You will have two DIN openings if you do this (for future upgrades like the EQ)
