Sounds like you have your mind made up already. You asked for opinions and you got them. Nobody likes this deal but you. It's your money so go buy it.

If you've got a cashflow problem why buy another car?
Sure, you might save some gas money, but you know how long it will take to make up $2350 in gas savings over your Bronco? Depending how much you drive, you're talking 18-24 or more months. And that's assuming you don't put another dime in fixing the 'new' Pontiac.

OH SWEET! I thought I was the only one who used "deuce" terminology. Everyone gives me bizarre looks when i say, "Hey, i'll be right back, just have to go drop the deuce." That's so awesome.

'Cause the Camry's like my 87 year old grandmother. She's broken her hip thirteen times and is still kicking, but if her head dropped in her oatmeal tomorrow morning, nobody would be surprised.
Driving the Bronco to and from work would be laughable - It'd cost me more in gas than I make. I didn't buy it to put a million miles on it - I bought it so I could could haul stuff in it. And so that when the Camry dies, I'll have something to tow her to her final resting place.
We've got joint custody of the Cavalier, and I wouldn't trust driving that car around the block on a sunny day.
The Mystique at this point.. Well, I have a wheelbarrow with a flat tire that'd probably be just as efficient transportation.
Hence.. If I want to ensure that I will have a cashflow, having a reliable car is obviously a necessity.
My question to you, fellow Contique owners, is this: Is a car with 200k miles and an oil leak a more reliable car than one with 130k, that we know nothing about, other than make, model, and color? I'm just looking for an educated opinion from educated car-people. I was expecting the but I wasn't expecting the beration.

1996 Toyota Camry LE - At least it ran.

I work at a small car lot like that one, and I can tell you this much: they're looking to make at least $1k on that car. I'm guessing they bought it for about $1200 at auction. On top of that, the blue book value on it, moderately equipped with the listed mileage, is over $6k. Something isn't adding up. If a mechanic checks that out with you and it's only got minor problems, it's a great deal. But you know what they say: if it looks to good to be true, it probably is. Just keep that in mind.

depending on my free time, abilities and cash flow:
GT = keep walking, didn't see it in the first place
GTP = take a closer look, hope I have a good friend that can work on these cars and don't want to go fast through the twisties
