I saw the car in a parking lot so I pulled over to get a few quick pic's. Sorry the quality sucks, I was in a rush and the sun wasn't helping. I didn't know if it was turbo or s/c, but I just showed my brother and aparently he's talked to the guy and there is a decal on the side that says "Turbo". Awesome looking body kit. Fat tires.

Im sorry but that s2000 is as na as u can get. that so called intercooler looks alot like a radiator. its 2 far back to be an intercooler. for it to be that far back he sould have to remove the radiator. and if it is a intercooler, that is one cheap intercooler. and it just looks too big. and that small tube on the left looks like a power steering fluid cooler. or something.

here are some pictures of a turboed s2000

Does this mean that there are no turbo V6 contours? I haven't seen any FMIC on any V6 Tours. I know there is a few 4cyc turbo's with FMIC. It could have an Air/Water like what our guys use.

NO, I'm pretty sure it has a turbo and that is indeed a real intercooler. If/when I see the car again, I'll try and find the guy who drives it and get some engine pictures and some better ones of the car.

Nice idea in some aspects, but i wonder how much he is actually pushing. The s2000 has one of the best compression rates out there unfortunately making a turbo very ineffective compared to most cars unless the pistons were changed the turbo will not do much for the car.

s2k's are OK, but I really don't like their high revving, low torque engines. A srt4 is faster than them and cost $10k less. The s2k does handle a little better, but it also has wider tires and is much much lower. There is a reason you don't see a bunch of s2000 race car/drag cars. Their engine doesn't go much above 300hp boosted.

yeah, my friend has an S2000, and i've (not street racing) taken off aggresively in my Contour and easily taken him through an intersection and he passes me at about 40 miles an hour. they indeed dont have jack down low.

I think its funny when people compare engines this way -

Sure it doesnt have much down low- but it does rev to close to 10K rpms (with a few goodies) - what contour engine can do that?

None of you would turn down an F1 engine - but they dont have SQUAT below say 8,000 rpms - remember that they rev to over 18,000 rpms- and have over 800 hp - but they dont have much over IIRC 300 lbft of torque - but you dont hear people whining about those now do you?

The S2000 is made along those lines- to be completly tame unless your really going for it! - sounds good to me.
