OP tisticman_dup1 Newbie T Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9 so cal	When my gas gets aroung a 1/4 of a tank I can not go above 4 or 5 rpm's is this a problem or does the contour have something that save gas so it does not let you go in a high rpm. Any feed back will be helpful thanks 00 svt contour black B&M shifter

Ray_dup1 Addicted CEG\'er R Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 7,100 San Antonio/Austin, TX	IIRC, the fuel pump has two different inlets, and the lower one (aka below 3/8 or 1/4 tank) can get clogged pretty easily, making it harder to draw the fuel up from the lower inlet. LOL - 5 RPMs??? That is certainly not normal and I'd venture to say that would even be lower than a Harley chugging away at idle. Normal idle is around 750 RPMs. Wisecracks aside, mine doesn't do that. I can run it up to redline regardless of the fuel level until I'm out of gas.
