In the Chicago region, a guy (HisSVT2) has a "fixed up" 1998 SE and it's a "virtual SVT". It just has blue exterior and SE interior.

Depends on how much money an time to spend on car upgrades.

2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO.
Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!

I don't have the time to drop in a 3.0, I wish I could.
I found a few non V6 MTXs in the area that could be worthy of being made into a "virtual" SVT. Let's say I'll spend 1k over a year to beef it up. Name a few things to bring it up to par and how many horsies do you think I can add from the stock 170 V6?

If your not going to go all out then get the SVT and get the Limited Slip Differential, some Energy Suspension bushings and motor mounts. That's what I would do.
