I have a 99 CSVT. How do you remove the side skirt? How much do thay cost? Do you have to pant them if you buy new? Does FORD still make them?

I dunno whether Ford still makes them but they are available thru dealerships. The best source is Bill Jenkins from Signature (sales@signaturelm.com or 800-876-3280 x272; u have to mention your CEG affiliation to get a discount) - the Las Vegas Signature Web site (based on the national crash/spare parts data base by Mitchell) lists side skirts painted in many different colors as available, but once u actually go the Ford date base it changes to the unpainted skirts + matching color to paint, so u might luck in and find painted ones, but don't hold your breath, and just spray 'em yourself or find somebody to do the job. They should go for something like 100 bux or close to it; for some reason they are less expensive than SE skirts...

This has been bothering me for the last couple months. Not just you, but a lot of people apparently don't know that Bill is no longer dealing with parts. However, he trained his replacement, Steve Mullins, about us.

Hi, FYI...You may want to check out the Eastern Canada forum for local parts. As for removal, you'll have to pop off all the plastic male/female connectors along the bottom edge and up along the wheel wells. Then the skirts should just lift off. It sits on brackets located underneath the skirt along the rocker panel. If you're looking for skirts, PM me and I'll put you in touch with a guy here in Toronto that is looking to sell. As I am also in the process of adding SE skirts to my car, I'm currently exploring this topic and will be more than happy to assist you. Feel free to PM me with questions or check out the postings in Eastern Canada. Good Luck!
