OP fordhater CEG\'er F Joined: May 2004 Posts: 55	How much does it cost to get the codes from your car when you take it into autozone.....also can you have a electrical problem on the transmission (like solenoid pack is shot) wihtout a service engine soon light?

I have had a CEL for about 5 weeks and in order to pull the codes it would cost me $40, a friggin ripoff. So I shall keep the CEL until the light burns out. 1996 MM Zetec, ATX 192000 kms...not dead, but I'm not fixing it White people love Wayne Brady because he makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X.

Wallace487 CEG\'er W Joined: May 2002 Posts: 119 Enid, OK	I had a bad "fuel sending unit" or something to that effect which did not set a CEL. When I took the car in to the dealership they read a code for it and ended up replacing my fuel pump. So there's really no harm in letting Autozone try to find a code, even if you don't have a CEL.
