How to get a Contour '98, '99 or 2000 right side (drivers side) headlight assy. Cruised 12 major salvage lots in west Dallas. Found one that looked like it had been dragged behind the car several miles for $40 and I was not sure it could possibly be polished out. Another one that was clean but had only one of the three mounting tabs remaining for $75. Neither is acceptable. What would be the best source for an OEM Ford or after market headlight assembly or can you suggest other source for used headlight assys. Are the after market headlight assemblies any good?

Seems like there are always some on ebay, not sure about the quality tho.

I bought an aftermarket replacement from http://1001headlights.com. It came rather quick and I had no fitment problems. Some have said that the aftermarket assemblies will haze and yellow faster, but I haven't had mine long enough to tell. I've had it on for over a year now and it still looks way better than the other light

I brought mine off Ebay, for $15, it has hazing lighty though.

Going to try to de-haze it and my other one when it gets here and thne do the fun task of installing a headlight assembly.
