Not me, though. My brother traded in his '98 Mustang (V6) for $2,500 and a good deal through a friend on a '99 Dakota R/T. It's black with tinted windows and has dual side exit exhaust. The exhaust sounds pretty sweet. The trucks looks pretty bad ass in itself. The inside of it is pretty boring, but I find that to be true with most trucks I've been in. Either way it was a nice step up for him.

ouch... only $2500 on a 98 stang? Is that really all they're worth, or did he have a ton of miles?

Resale value and what a dealer will give are two totally different things. Plus you factor in how much the new vehicle is worth verses what you will be paying for it. He could have gotted $8,500 but they would have just jacked up the price of the truck the $6,000 difference. Note the Mustang is a V6 and not the current bodystyle, can hurt value a bit there. Still$2,500 is pretty low.

No his car was worth more. He put it on Autotrader for a month at $3,500 and no one called or even emailed. I just found out about this yesterday (the day before he got the truck) otherwise I would have said something on here. I'm sure someone on here could have spared the $3,500 to sit on the car until it sold for more.

Have him stop by the shop here in Royal Oak. We can fix up his interior and make it a bit more exciting. Just click the Permatech link in my sig. to get directions.
