Wondering if any 'tour owners in Western PA know of a quality shop (and not outrageously expensive) for a 3rd gear syncro replacement. I've used the tranny cocktail and all that good stuff which worked for a while...but I believe the time has come.

Your best bet is to have Northland Ford remove the tranny, crate it up and ship it to Terry Haines. Have him rebuild it and ship it back....Ford to re-install. $700 for removal and re-installation plus Terry's cost to rebuild.
