Hey everybody. Newbie here to the site but I love my 98 CSVT and I've always been into cutomizing my cars. The site has tons of info and I can't wait to get to know some of the regulars here. I'm in the Cincinnati area so anyone close by say hey sometime. What I need to know is if body parts such as the front bumber, rear bumber on a 98 mondeo would fit on a 98 Tour? I've made a few phone calls to Ford but nobody seems to be able to tell me anything, bunch of idiots working those customer service lines. If anyone here would be able to tell me I would greatly appreciate the help!

sadly no, it won't fit. The front end underneath is much, much different.

Cincy, there is some info about this in previous posts. I searched the previous posts (see the "Search" link at the top of the page) and I found a couple of threads about it. One is titled "Mondeo mod" dated 6/28/03. The other is titled "Wouldn't this be sweet" dated 2/05/03. The words I typed in were "Mondeo front bumper." If you look at those, you will probably find what you want to know.

(Sorry I can't provide a link, I don't know how to generate a link from an old post.)

That's ashame because i found a few really nice body kits for the Mondeo. Was hoping for a better result but oh well.....so goes life with my tour. Actually found a kit that looks almost dead on the kit that Saleen used for their Saleen Contour. Freakin awesome lookin kit. Allready been in contact with a company in the UK that sells the kit. Said they would have no prob sending me one but if it's gonna cost to much to modify it or the car so it'll fit prolly just gonne forget about it ......for now anyway! If someone tells me how to post a pic here I'll put one up.

The kits won't fit due to American crash bumper standards. The front end on the Mondeo is much nicer than the Contour as it does not have to be as large and protruding.
