Just wondering if anybody has the KKM intake. It is pretty cheap and I would like to know how it sounds and if you are getting better mileage. Thanks,

It sounds great, but to let you know, there are lesser expensive alternatives. Do a search on the Forums.

I just put mine in today, no mileage #'s but it does sound like a 70 year old lady with a 2 pack a day habit.

KKM makes a great filter adapter....but the Filters are of a lesser quality.
More than a few people have had problems with them imploding at high RPM, although there have been a few people that do talk good about them.
Reconmend you get a MAF adapter form somewhere else then get a K&N RU-3530 filter.
Thats your best bet.

I put my KKM in about 2 weeks ago. I LOVE IT!! The sound is AWESOME, especially at anything over 4000rpm! As far as fuel economy? I haven't seen any improvement, but then again, I seem to be driving a bit "harder" lately I did order the K&N replacement filter though. Heard too many negative things about the one that comes with the KKM kit. But i haven't had a problem yet. My advice, GO BUY IT!!

How can you say "go buy it" when you ditched the filter? Mighty expensive MAF adapter, no?

In retrospect, it was all downhill from here. RIP, CEG.

Never said I ditched the filter, i just ordered a REPLACEMENT, that's all. If I do need the filter due to a problem (about which i get mixed feed back) then i'll hace one.

There is a lot cheaper that is of better quality also avaiable. A few people or doing the BAT intake system, or just going with the MIRKO MAF adapter with the K&N.
But it is an expensive intake.
I found out i could get one for about 40 bucks cheaper, i was pissed....
the KKM is a decent price, but if your going to change out the filter element like i did, save some money and buy the MAF adpater and the K&N filter seperatly.
ANd i did have my KKM implode on me at 5500 RPMs...so from me personaly i would reconmend that route instead of getting a KKM.

Yet ANOTHER post that should be a sticky!
K&N conical filter. (RU-3530 for a 3.5" flange)
80mm/90mm MAF Adapter.
Heatshield.
SKIP the KKM. Great adapter with a crappy filter.
The adapter alone is not worth $100 though!
Folks need to see if they'll sell the adapter by itself.
