I'm getting my reflector painted next Monday and I wanted some opinions on whether I should get the chrome strip painted or leave it alone. I plan on also painting the black background around the back up lights too. While it's there, they will also be doing the front chrome grille ring. All will be body color. I had thought about leaving the rear chrome strip alone but now I'm not so sure. If anyone has pix either way, it would sure help me to make up my mind. Thanks.

I say do it all. If you're killing the chrome, might as well do it all. Plus if somewhere down the road you really cant stand it, you could just swap reflectors or get a new one.

Do it!

I personally hate the chrome strip on the 98+ tours. I ended up putting a mystique reflector on. You can always take a mystique reflector and paint it , then you have no chrome at all (not even painted chrome).

My mind is pretty much made up now but I'd still like to see some more pix, especially if there are any Tropic Green SVT's. Thanks guys.

Paint the reflector

Leave the chrome and the license plate surround alone.

Heres mine done, its been almost 4-yrs.

Now I'm thoroughly confused as to what I want to do. After I saw the red SVT, I was going to do the chrome. Then I saw the photo chop of the green SVT, and my mind was made up. Theeennnnn, I see the rest of the Tour's with the chrome left alone, and I really don't know which way to go. Also, how come nobody does the black license plate surround? I think that if you're doing the reflector, it's only natural to do the surround.
