Hey I was curious if anyone had heard about the new racetracks proposed in Central Illinois near Peoria? I wast at a SVTOA meeting last week and it was presented to to us. From the plans it looks like it will be very cool. It is going to have a 1/4 mile IHRA drag strip, a 3+ mile road track and a 4/10's mile concrete oval. The guys who have got it started have big backers and are pretty far into the process so it looks like this might be a reality. in the next year or so. The biggest obstacle is going to be the Peoria County Board who has to approve it. If anyone is interested in writing them I have their addresses and any support no matter where you are from wouold be appreciated.

cool! another roadcourse circut in illinois! they're building one in joliet right now. the "autobahn country club." they're marketing it as some exclusive memebership thing right now. i'm hoping they will have track days for the rest of us "norms" who cant quite afford the 15 grand 'membership fee' to join
