In my SVT i hear a rattling coming from the front drivers side wheel when hitting bumps small or large...initially i thought it was the metal part of the brake line but it seems to be too loud to be coming from that...also the drivers side front wheel has worn on the outter edge however the passenger side is fine...the car wanders to the right...i thought maybe alignment..but that usually would wear both tires right? any ideas?

Thanks

A rattle you can hear from outside, or just inside?

A good thing to check is the sway bar end links. They go bad often and give a loose internal rattling sound. Without knowing they're bad you would never know by looking at them.

They are cheap and available at autoparts stores so that's one area to check.

But also look at your pads & rotors, all the parts there? Hows all the bolts? Any looseness in the front end elsewhere? Car up on jack, how does the front left feel?

I've experienced something like that on my '99 z-tec.
My advice is to check for worn sway bar bushings.
Also take a look to the lower control arm's rear bushing, this could be related to the rigth side wanders.
Hope this help...
