Thats what I was saying this morning when I hit the highway, had my front lower control arms replaced a week or so agao as well rotated the tires. Today get on the highway and get up around 120km, the car is shaking like a [censored] and the steering wheel is shaking kije crazy. Lowered er to 80 was better and took the next off ramp, all the lugs are tight. Question, is this an alignment problem (she pulls pretty hard left, or a balancing issue as a result of the rotation? Thanks in advance. CC

Sounds like alignment to me. A similar thing happened to me after a tire change and the steering was skewed as well. Make sure to get the rear alignment checked . The rear control arms can bend real easy if they're used as a jacking point.

Shaking sound more like a Balancing issue to me. Maybey when they removved your tires to replace the control arms it off set the balance.

Also another reason it would vibrae is if they put the tires on the wrong side (seen it done) and there uni-directional tires.

that would cause bad vibrations.

Have the balance checked first as that is cheaper than getting an alignment. but yes, usualy after you get any suspension work doen, your alignment will be off to.

Anytime you replace a suspension component like control arms you should have a alignment. Get alignment and tire balance at the same time. Could be as much as a tire, but you should still get alignment checked.
