Im pulling a cel code p0174 system to lean bank 2. It failed smog test, cost me $40 bucks. Ive searched hi and low for any air leaks, and have found nothing. The maf has been cleaned. Can the O2 sensor just be bad, or is something causing it to read this code.
Bank two is the one in the front by the radiator? Right?

no...bank 2 is the one next to the fire wall...I know cause i pulled a 420 code (bad bank 2 pre-cat) a few months ago.

Solved that problem with gutted cats.

Anyways, it could be as simple as an O2 sensor....But its hard for me to say.

Bank 2 is the front/easy one, that's why the FAQ has this for the bank 1/rear/difficult one.

O2 sensors tend to go bad between 70,000-120,000 miles.
Vacuum leaks at the intake gaskets can be very hard to find. If the engine is over six years old you may just want to replace them anyway.

I found the leak. A air line was taped with other air lines and was broke under the tape. Wasnt possible to see, and other have was hanging down behind the engine. I probably dont need to change the sensor. I apreciate your input. thanx guys.

Great...another ford mis leading statement....they told me (multiple ocasions) that bank 2 was the rear...sorry for the mis-information.
