Ok, I'm getting the worst road noise when the steering wheel is turned slightly to the left, yet, none when to the right. I just replaced all four tires with Pirelli P Zero Neros. The tires appear to be fine and correctly mounted. There is no rubbing or any other fitment problems appearant to me. This is getting really annoying and I have to have the radio jacked up to cancel it out. Anyone else ever experience this problem or have a good idea of what might be causing it?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks In Advance ,

Check your lugs to be sure they're tight. I just tracked down a similar condition that way.

Same here...was convinced that the wheel bearing was bad...took it to a Mercury dealer...who called back..."lugs were looses..nothing else wrong..."

1. lugs (vote #3) remove tire/wheel/clean everything-remount to required torque.
2. wheel bearing
3. brake components
4. Powering steering pump/hardware

Well, it wasn't the lugs being loose. I'll have to move on to the wheel bearing next.

Wheel bearings

Just got both of mine replaced Wednesday. It went from sounding like a 4x4 to smooth and quiet like the day I drove it home off the show room floor.

If the noise started after the tire replacement, go back and get new tires. Defective radials will make a noise like a bad wheel bearing.

This is very common and can happen with brand new tires or after a few k mi.
