Hey guys,

I've in process of swapping out my in tank fuel pump and I'll be danged if I can get the lines leading into the tank to pop loose so I can pull the top can and pump assembly out of the tank. The ford manual says to pop the retaining rings loose and pull the fuel lines off. I can get the rings loose, but I can't get the lines to budge and I don't want to break anything at this point.

This is on a return fuel system (returnless is much easier and a different setup). I have releived the line fuel pressure so there shouldn't be any pressure on the pump.

If you cna help today I want to finish this swap this afternoon as I'm hitting the dyno Saturday if all goes even close to right.

Thanks,
Rick

Don't know if this helps, I just used a small plier to squezze the two little plastic tabs on the fitting and it pulled off easily.

If it's like what happened to mine instead of squeezing the tabs, pull the tabs out.
My tabs slipped onto the wrong area of the hose and this was the only way to pop the hose out.

You pull the tab out a little ways, realign the hose so it sits normal, then you should be able to use the tabs push release.

I hope this makes sense.
