Well that's where Saddam was, and we found him fairly easily...

Your argument is so full of holes I don't know where to begin...

Who launched the attack on America? Americans, that??s who..
Consider the following:

1. This act required big time money and intelligence

Just a little viewing of airline schedules on a computer. Hardly big time. I could put together a coordinated hijacking schedule for you in a couple of hours. I'd do it in minutes, but I'm still using dial-up connections. I have my own home & family & pay for this line, not my mommy & daddy.

2. This act required high level military co-ordination

Again, airline schedules from a computer and one guy to tell the others which planes to board. Don't even need phones, could relay info by mail - no chance of leaks that way. Assuming the targets were already chosen, no other instruction needed. No biggie there either.

3. This act does not financially profit anybody in any desert country ( unless they were being paid by someone ??over here? that stands to gain a profit).

Financial gain was not their goal, it was a politically motivated attack, twisted as it was. Furthermore, didn't you notice the severe dip the markets took after this attack? If this was financially motivated, it backfired spactacularly.

4. Who stands to gain a profit? Defense contactors and oilman; building contractors Billions?

You'd perhaps have the Salvation Army try to straighten things out and rebuild Iraq? This 'point' of yours makes no logical sense at all unless you're trying to suggest that these industries perpetrated the attack. Not likely. As I said above, the companies lost waaay more than they stood to gain when the markets nose dived & stalled.

5. George Bush came to power on the promise to lower taxes and by giving everyone a rebate (he bought the vote). Now that he is in power, he is stealing the social security money for arms and missile defense (contracts worth billions). Knowing that the social security trust fund ( which is just a bunch of IOU??s anyway) will be inadequate because of George??s doings, the baby boomers are a short time away from pressuring the money away from expensive defense contracts such as missile defense. Billions will be taken away from the defense contractors?? income. A big undeniable reason for increased and sustained defense spending was needed. So Whamo ! Who will stand up now and say that they are not in favor of big defense spending? ( Just wait till you here the line, ?? With missile defense system in place we could avert these types of attacks?

That was the biggest bunch of hogwash I've seen on these boards. How can GW steal SS money when you freely admit that the "trust fund" is a basket of IOUs. Further, since it was exactly that (IOUs) long before GW took office, George had nothing to do with depleting it, it was already done decades ago by previous presidents from Carter through Slick Willie.

As for your leap of illogic to suggest the missile defense system could stop terrorists using airliners to attack buildings - Do you even know what the missle defense system was designed to do??

I don't even know what you're talking about here....

7. Now that the big oilmen have got George (The Oilman) Bush in charge ( Notice that all his appointees are pro-oil), they stand to gain big from such a friend in the Presidential seat. But if George gets tossed for scamming the social security or being the cause of a big downturn then the oilmen stand to lose big. So lets take everyone??s mind off the problem and unite everyone behind the president. Later we can blame the high expenditure ( and thus the downturn) on the necessary defense spending that everyone will agree was justified. ( notice what the first commodity was to increase in price following the attack ??OIL??

Domestic & foreign policies have little to do with setting oil prices on the world market. You can thank your cuddly friends in OPEC for that mostly.

You're repeating yourself, what is your point this time...?

I hate Bush and his political machine, but to say that they were behind the Twin Tower attack is like to sign on the salary check issued by fu**cking towelheads and their paid agents. Seriously though - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, his or her but are u f*****ing kidding me? That's unheard of even for conspiracy headz and JFK's assasination psychodelic theories fans. Grow the heck up!

Besides, the title of the thread, aka "You Americans", smells like a rotten hallal food to me.

LOL, my inital post was explain why the US didn't forge so hard after Bin Laden and Afganistan (considering the impact of the Twin Towers attack???), they pretty much started it, and then pulled out the majority of troops so that they could begin the war on Iraq and the search for their so called weapons of mass destruction! Which are unfounded, if you think the attack on Iraq didn't have anything to do with power, control and oil (money)!! As for the second reply I made Follow the Money these were not my thoughts and views I didn't write the article it was an interesting one that came up on another board I saw figured it could get some decent response here. It has so far, it isn't that far fetched too believe that there was a conspiracy in place here, I agree with some of your breakdown of the article but I really find it strange that the US goes balls out hunting for Hussein with ???? Weapons and leave Bin LAden in hiding after the devastating attack on the US!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, Iraq was about money, oil, power, stupidity, bad planning, plans to influence the countries like Saudia, but it's all pretty far from declarations that Bush and Co organized Twin Tower attack. Yeah, right.

Coatsy-you are just plain wacked. Why not keep your
Canadian BS where it belongs-in your head. If anyone thinks this will be the only nation we have to man handle in order to secure the future then you need to wake up. There are groups in this world hell bent on killing us no matter what we do from this point on. Either you can take a proactive role in making sure they have not a chance or sit back & wait for them. Make no mistake-they WILL come if left to their own. So until you stand beside a soldier and go thru what they do- quit your liberal whining. What you have as freedoms was paid for by our armed forces. What the soldiers did was wrong and will be dealt with BUT DO NOT FORGET THOSE STILL THERE.Soldiers are people to and stand as
honorable people.Sorry about the long rant......

It is no surprise me to that almost the whole World hates us, why shouldnt they?

We have destroyed Iraq, and our "leader" has lied to the whole World several times over. He said they have weapons, they are a huge threat, Saddam must die, and stuff similar to that. So very reluctanty most of the World jumps on the bandwagon and heads over there, kills msot likely more than 100,000 people, and finds no weapons.

This makes leaders of the countries that followed Bushs lead look bad.

Now to top it off it comes out that we are actually tortueing people over and the soliders in the photos are similing about doing it!

It is no surprise that so many people and so many countries hate us, look at what we have done.

I seriously hope Bush doesnt keep his job and that someone who wouldnt wreck the country gets into office.

Bush has sent this country into a downward spiral and it will take about a decade to recover from what this terrorist himself has done.

I wouldnt be surprised if we did have another terrorists attack and sadly folks I do agree with the people that say we deserve it, after all look at what we have done.

I remember being 17 and ignorant as hell too.
