I noticed that the latest insert from the Navy Federal Credit Union (pertaining to refinancing an auto loan) pictures a silver SVT on the front cover and inside.
It looks like the Ford emblem on the grill was taken off, but it looks good!

I posted about something similar a couple weeks back... it is also on the NFCU webpage, on the top, while advertising NEW AND USED 02-03 models... LOL

NFCU won't let us Air Force have an account with them because we are "too spoiled" already as they claim.... the morons, although their "official" position is that only Navy and people stationed on a Navy installation can apply. A friend of ours was told by her friend that works at the local NFCU here that this is what their supervisors say about the AIR FORCE

I work at NFCU and we don't have an "official" stance for not letting the Air Force in. You're NOT in the field of membership plain and simple. Read NCUA rules on credit union membership. Second, our field of membership consists of Navy AND Marines as well as their immediate family members. In addition we can admit contractors of the Navy or Marines or civilians working on a Marine or Navy base as well as their family members. Get your she said/I heard facts straight. Oh, and you have your own Air Force credit union that I can't join either. That's just the way it goes

Uuuumm, nothing to get straight dear, that's exactly what was told to me. Maybe your supervisors haven't said anything like that, but apparently the one's here did. I can't say for SURE they did, but I can't say that they didn't either. Nothing against NFCU, that's just what I was told.
I did, however, look at the membership rules, and I see that we are not eligable anyway, but heck, we use USAA, so I am not too worried about joining NFCU.
On the flip side, what's the Air Force's credit union called? Cause I sure haven't seen one. I didn't know there was one.
Edit: Nevermind, I found it, but it's mainly for people stationed at Lackland in San Antonio... what's the point when our credit union... USAA is there too. Ah well.

I'm sure they'd let you in once you could prove that you'd done a few night carrier landings....
