Non SVT with severe rasp. No sound clip and I'd be embarrased to post it if there were.

heh.....well I sorta took the next step and removed the mufflers as well. It sounds extremely raspy above 2500rpm, but idling(sp?) it has to be the sweetest sound I ever heard. But now it seems like I am losing about 30 miles to the tank. I don't know if the lack of an exhaust system is the reason or not.......still checking into that.
Overall....if you are going to remove the resonator, I would suggest getting some aftermarket mufflers to cover the rasp.

I will get around to getting an intake at some point......maybe even put those PS and ALT pulleys on.

The milage loss is most likely due to heavier throttle usage caused by your moded exhaust.
I have a Brullen Quiet system w/o a resonator. The Brullen system is slightly louder and deeper than stock while also having significantly more rasp, especially when cold. You will experience this with an SVT system w/o the resonator and it will be even more pronounced if you add headers or do the mystery mod. Replacing the resonator with an aftermarket resonator or muffler would sound the best.
