there was still some water on the track from the morning....i think a lot of cars were having traction problems because of it.

Dale hit a deer on a way to an event and they got the car fixed enough to get on the way to the next event. SRT4s don't do well in accidents at all, but it's still going, which is the important thing, it just set him back financially.

even with the one day setback Dale is still 25th overall and 1st place in the Econo class.

I'll have to check them out. I was planning to go do the sendoff in Rochester again this year and meet more of the competitors, but I guess since Brock Yates has his Cannonball Pub on the market (drove past a few weeks ago) he's in no hurry to stage events that'd have people gathering there...

Saw some really cool cars and talked to some cool guys there a couple of years ago. The SHOgun Festiva, the uber-prepped Benz that can't ever finish the event and lots more.
